The Taraxacum lamp, designed in 1960 by the brothers Achille and Pier
Giacomo Castiglioni, is an iconic piece of Italian design. Its shape was
inspired by the dandelion flower (botanical name Taraxacum). A unique
synthetic "cocoon" resin is sprayed over the frame, creating the
diffuser.
