First designed in 1963, Seki-Han is a masterpiece that reflects Scarpa’s refined sensibility. Formed by two sculptural wooden blades enclosing a tubular light source, its intricate construction draws on naval architecture and Scarpa’s deep knowledge of woodworking. Reimagined by Flos in close collaboration with Tobia Scarpa, the 2025 edition is subtly transformed, meeting contemporary demands for performance and versatility while preserving the design’s essence. The wooden blades, now mobile, rotate around the central body and allow modulation of both light intensity and direction, offering complete control. A sliver of light remains visible at all times, creating a highly evocative effect.
