Island is a collection made up of three poufs with organic forms that evoke the coast line lapped by the sea. This imagery is felt throughout the entire design, conjuring the enveloping movement of the tide which smoothes and shapes the shore. For this reason the volumes are perceived differently in accordance to the perspective in the space at which they are observed. The base visually elevates the seat from the ground making it seem like it’s floating in space.
