Space Copenhagen
Space Copenhagen is a multi-disciplinary design studio established in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou. Based in Copenhagen, the studio is renowned for a design philosophy they call "Poetic Modernism," which seeks to balance dualities—such as classic and modern, industrial and organic, and sculptural and minimal.

The studio's work spans architecture, interior design, furniture, lighting, and art installations. Their approach is deeply rooted in human behavior, focusing on how people intuitively engage with their surroundings and functional needs. They share a profound passion for natural materials like wood, stone, and leather, emphasizing texture, tonality, and "slow aesthetics" that focus on quality and longevity.

Space Copenhagen has gained international acclaim for several high-profile projects and product designs. They designed the original Noma restaurant in Copenhagen, as well as 11 Howard Hotel in New York and The Stratford in London. Their High Stool for Mater has become an icon of Danish design, often cited for its honest craftsmanship and recycled materials. They collaborate with leading global brands such as GUBI, Stellar Works, Fredericia Furniture, and &Tradition.
